Stacy Burlog

Hello! My name is Stacy Burlog and I am the newest member of Kellen’s team. I help get families through the probate, guardianship, and trust administration process for our clients, and I also run the Trinity office.

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, moved to Florida at the age of 5 and I have been in Florida ever since.

Many years ago I was offered the opportunity while working for the State of Florida to take a paralegal course. I had a very passionate instructor (who was also an attorney) and she lit a fire under me. After completing the course and getting my first job as a paralegal, I took a two day exam through the National Association of Legal Assistants to become a certified paralegal. I was very proud to have passed the entire exam on the first go round! I have heard that this exam is similar to the bar exam in many ways. Since that time (and because I love to learn new things) I have also attained my advanced certification in both Corporate and Contract Management and Administration.

While living in Jacksonville, I had the opportunity to work for two very highly regarded tax and estate planning firms where I mainly specialized in probate and guardianship cases.

While living in Jacksonville, my husband (Brad) and I were very involved in our church and taught new membership classes, became commissioned leaders and served in several areas of the church. In 2012, we went on our very first mission trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This trip and the Lord transformed our lives! When we returned we both knew that we had to do something more to help and serve people.

At that time, I left the legal profession, my husband left his job at the City of Jacksonville and we moved to Hudson, Florida to become house parents in a therapeutic girls’ home at Hope Youth Ranch, Inc. The ranch houses abused and neglected children and children who are going through difficulties at home and need to be placed out of their home for healing and recovery, ages ranging from 12 to 17. The property also has a school for autistic children. We have met many beautiful kids during this time and watched them blossom and recover (who are now considered a part of our extended family).

In December 2014, I met Kellen and learned about his practice helping the elderly. I very much admire what Kellen is doing and his passion for helping the elderly. Kellen was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to combine my passion (helping people) and my profession, to work with him in his satellite office in Trinity, Florida. I am excited about working with Kellen and the possibility of serving you. I look forward to meeting you!
